Some women are building their reputation. Others have spent decades becoming the woman they are today.
Pastor Laura Lee belongs to the second.
With more than 35 years in ministry, her story carries the kind of experience that cannot be manufactured through beautiful branding. She has planted churches, mentored leaders, spoken to audiences across the world, and devoted her life to helping people discover hope through faith.
The substance was already there. In abundance.
My role was to give it a brand and website that could communicate it with the same warmth, confidence, and intention.
And for me, that is where the most meaningful design begins.
The Woman Behind the Calling
One of my favorite parts of being a brand and website designer happens long before I begin creating anything.
It’s getting to know the person.
Not simply what she offers, what her competitors are doing, or which websites she likes. I want to understand the life behind the work. What matters to her. What she believes. What she wants people to feel when they encounter her brand.
Pastor Laura is a woman of remarkable faith, infectious joy, and hard-earned wisdom. Her ministry is deeply personal, but its reach extends across generations.
Today, her work includes international speaking, mentoring, CLEAR Coaching, and her involvement with The Inspire Project, an organization committed to sharing the gospel with women and girls around the world.
Different expressions of one calling.
The challenge was bringing them together without losing the individuality of each.
Because a personal brand should never ask someone to become a simplified version of herself just to fit a website.
Brand Strategy First. Beautiful Design Follows.
A thoughtful custom website begins with deciding what deserves attention, how the story should unfold, and what the visitor needs to understand.
For Pastor Laura, that meant identifying the message connecting decades of ministry with the work she is doing today.
One Scripture kept bringing everything into focus.
Psalm 145:4.
The beautiful responsibility of one generation sharing what God has done with the next.
It became a foundation for the brand strategy, connecting her experience, her heart for mentorship, and her belief that no season of life is without purpose.

Wisdom for the journey. Hope for the generations.
Simple. Personal. Deeply hers.
And on the website, another message meets visitors right where they are:
There is still a future with your name on it.
These words weren’t chosen to fill empty space in a design.
They give people something to recognize, remember, and carry with them.
That is the difference thoughtful brand messaging makes. It turns a collection of services, experiences, and ideas into a recognizable point of view.
A Custom Brand Identity Designed Around the Person
Once the strategy was clear, I developed Pastor Laura’s visual brand identity and the creative direction for her website.
I wanted to honor her history without making the brand feel stuck in it.
There is a wonderful balance to her personality. She carries the authority of someone who has spent decades leading and teaching, alongside the warmth of someone who genuinely loves people.
Both deserved a place in the design.
The typography, composition, photography, and visual rhythm needed to express that balance. Confident but approachable. Personal but polished. Contemporary without losing the heart of her message.
I wasn’t interested in creating a generic ministry website or borrowing a visual identity that could belong to anyone.
The goal was recognition.
A brand that feels connected to the woman people already know, while introducing her beautifully to the people who have yet to meet her.
It’s something I care deeply about in every custom branding project.
Beautiful design gets attention. Thoughtful design gives that attention somewhere meaningful to go.
Custom Showit Website Design With Every Page Considered
A speaker and coach website has a particular responsibility.
It may welcome an event organizer researching their next keynote speaker, a ministry leader seeking mentorship, or someone who has heard a message and wants to learn more.
All three visitors arrive with different questions.
A successful website needs to make those questions easy to answer, without turning the experience into an overwhelming menu of information.
For Pastor Laura, I designed a fully custom Showit website with dedicated experiences for her speaking ministry, coaching, personal story, and upcoming events.
The homepage introduces her central message and establishes the two primary pathways: inviting Pastor Laura to speak and exploring coaching.
The About page brings depth to her story, her experience, and the generational purpose behind her work, including her involvement with The Inspire Project.
The Event Speaking page gives event organizers the information they need to consider an invitation, including her speaking perspective, areas of ministry, testimonials, and a clear way to inquire.
The Coaching page introduces her work with CLEAR Coaching and creates space to understand her mentorship approach, the people she serves, and what working together can look like.
And the Upcoming Events and Contact pages help visitors stay connected and take their next step.
Each page has its own purpose.
Yet each belongs to the same story.
This is one of the reasons I love designing custom websites. I’m not trying to make someone’s business work within a predetermined layout. I get to decide what belongs on the page because of who the person is, what they offer, and how their audience needs to experience it.
A little more thinking before the design. A lot more intention in the result.
What Makes a Speaker or Coach Website Feel Truly Custom?
It’s a question worth asking, especially if you’re investing in your personal brand.
A custom website is not defined by an impressive homepage or an unusual collection of fonts.
It’s defined by the decisions behind it.
For speakers and coaches, I look closely at three things.

First, the introduction. Can someone unfamiliar with your work understand who you are, what you stand for, and why your experience matters?
Second, the distinction between your offers. Speaking and coaching may come from the same expertise, but the person organizing a conference is making a different decision from someone seeking private mentorship. The website should respect that.
Third, the path toward an inquiry. A visitor shouldn’t need to search through every page to figure out how to work with you. Good website architecture brings the right information and the right invitation together.
These principles shaped Pastor Laura’s website.
They are equally relevant to an established business coach, consultant, photographer, wedding professional, or founder whose expertise has developed beyond a single straightforward offer.
And while a well-designed Showit template can be an excellent fit for many businesses, a fully custom experience becomes particularly valuable when the brand, messaging, and visitor journeys call for more individual direction.
The Part of Custom Website Design You Don’t Always See
When people see a finished website, they notice the beautiful things first.
The typography. The photography. The movement. The composition.
And I love those details.
But some of my most important work is almost invisible in the finished design.
It’s the time spent understanding the person. Finding the words that actually belong to her. Deciding what deserves prominence and what can be quieter. Revisiting a section because something doesn’t feel quite right yet.
It’s the care behind making a hundred small decisions that eventually feel effortless to the person experiencing them.
I approached Pastor Laura’s project with that same attention, from brand strategy and messaging to visual identity and the complete custom website.
Because when someone entrusts me with a business or a calling they have spent years building, I take that personally.
And I wouldn’t want to create it any other way.
A New Chapter, Beautifully Told
There is something particularly meaningful about working with a woman whose life has been devoted to serving others.
Pastor Laura’s website is now live, bringing her speaking, coaching, ministry, and story together in one considered place.
I’m grateful I had the opportunity to create the brand identity and custom website that accompany this chapter of her journey.
And perhaps my favorite part is that her story is still unfolding.
There is more to come. More people to reach. More wisdom to share.
The website is ready to make room for it.
